The Pet Lovers Club 1: Riley’s Terrific Idea

Riley: Ben! Psst !

Ben: Riley! Shh !

Riley: But I have to tell you something!

Ben: What?

Riley: It’s about my dog Snooks.

Ben: Snooks is all you ever talk about.

Riley: But this is big news. I taught Snooks a new trick!

Mrs. Bell: Riley and Ben, no talking please!

Riley: I’m sorry, Mrs. Bell. I just wanted to tell Ben about Snooks.

Mrs. Bell: What does that have to do with school?

Riley: Well . . . I’m teaching Snooks. Teaching him tricks!

Mrs. Bell: That’s nice. But you and Ben broke the no-talking rule.

That means no recess today

Riley: I’m sorry, Ben. I got you into trouble.

Ben: Again! What did you teach Snooks anyway?

Riley: I taught him how to roll over!

Ben: Wow! I wish I could teach my turtle, Speedy, a trick.

Riley: Maybe I could help you.

That was a pretty fun recess

Ben: Yeah! Too bad we can’t talk about our pets all day.

Riley: And teach them tricks together.

I have an idea There’s no time for our pets during school

So let’s meet with our pets after school

Ben: What?

Riley: Let’s form a club—a pet lovers club!
