Sarah: I want a real kitten. But all I have is Mittens!

Theo: What happened to his ears?

Sarah: The dog next door chewed them off.

Chatter: Oh, my, what a shame!

Sarah: Can I please be in the Pet Lovers Club? I might get a real kitten one day.

Riley: Of course you can, Sarah.

The Pet Lovers Club will meet at my house

We can plan tricks and trips for our pets

Skyler: And guess what? There’s going to be a pet talent show soon!

Theo: It’s in the park on Saturday.

I heard the winner gets five free tickets to the zoo

Sarah: The big zoo in New York City?

Riley: Yes. The talent show can be our first project!

Ben: I can’t wait to teach Speedy his first trick.

Theo: My hamster, Whiskers, can run in circles.

Riley: I’m going to teach Snooks to shake hands.

Snooks: Ar-ooo !

Skyler: Maybe I can teach Chatter to sing a song.

Chatter: Eat your spinach!

Ben: Look! I got Speedy to roll over!

Sarah: What a great trick.

Chatter: Uh-oh.

Ben: Uh-oh is right. He can’t roll back over.

Sarah: Speedy is stuck!

Skyler: You’d better think of a different trick, Ben.

Riley: One of our pets just has to win on Saturday.

Theo: New York City, here we come!
