Cow looked for blueberries.

Pig, Cat, and Bat looked too.

 

“I see some!” said Bat.

“We must pick them,” said Cow.

 

The friends picked blueberries.

They put them on the path.

Then they told Dog about the plan.

 

Dog was at Red Bird’s tree.

He watched for the bear.

 

At last Dog saw something.

It was big!

It was black!

 

The bear looked for Red Bird’s food.

But Dog barked.

“Woof! Woof!” said Dog.

 

Dog barked again.

Then he ran to the path.

 

The bear watched Dog.

It ran to the path too.

 

And it ate the blueberries!

Now Dog barked a happy bark.

Everyone was safe!
